BuyTheEarth.com is a novel online advertising platform:

We are selling every square kilometre of the Earth’s land surface, in minimum blocks of 100 sq km, for users to purchase and use to share their message with a global audience.

Once a user has purchased a plot, they can upload an image file, tag it with a short description, and add a URL link. When visitors to the website surf around the map, they will see your image, and if interested in what you stand for, will click on it to see it in detail, and have the opportunity to click through to your own website/blog/social network page etc. Clearly, the larger the block of plots a user buys, the more ‘visible’ your image will be to visitors, from the highest resolution of the map when they first arrive at our homepage.

There are many plots on the website that are dedicated to charitable organisations. More information on this can be found on the relevant tab on the homepage.

Everyone who buys a plot from BuyTheEarth.com is eligible to be entered into our free prize draw – more information on this can be found on the relevant tab on the homepage.

Launched in October 2008, BuyTheEarth.com is the creation of Sam Pitts-Tucker, an Oxford University graduate currently employed in the private banking world.
